“It Was Meant To Be In July” – Davido Cries Out Over Canceled Wedding With Chioma

Nigerian BET award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer Davido has lamented about the impact of Coronavirus pandemic on his life.

Speaking to Bounce Radio’s Ebuka, Davido intimated that Coronavirus pandemic ruined his plans of having his wedding with his heartthrob and baby mama, Chioma Avril Rowland.

According to the ‘FEM’ crooner, their wedding was supposed to have taken place in July 2020 but it was cancelled, however, they are planning to hold it in 2021.

He said,

Honestly, Corona messed plans up because it was meant to be in July. I have decided it would be sometime next year. For now, I want her to work on her business while I work on my album and the kids. I want everything to balance first.

He continued,

“I have known Chioma for about seven years.
We have been dating for about five years. Lati introduced me to Chioma. We went to the same school, Babcock University. We started as friends but I got so used to her and she got so used to me as well. She is a great cook as well.”

Tiwa Savage Bags 2 Nominations At UK Music Video Awards

Tiwa Savage has bagged two nominations in the forthcoming UK Music Video Awards 2020.

The UK Music Video Awards is a yearly Award show held to honour great music videos in both the UK and international.

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage bagged a nomination in the R’n’B/Soul Video International category for her video ’49-99′.

She faces Beyonce, Yseult, 070 shake, Gregory porter, Marvin Gaye for the category.

The song was also nominated in the Best Styling in a Video Category.

BBNaija 2020 Winner, Laycon ‘Gets Baby Mama’ Few Hours After Receiving N85M

In just a few days after emerging winner of the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show and barely 24 hours of receiving the N85 million grand prize, a lady, whose name is yet to be confirmed, has surfaced on social media claiming to have a child for Laycon.

In viral Video, she alleged that the BBN star had sex with her after a party at QILOX, a popular destination for topshots in Lagos.

The Lady said that after the “one night stand” the Big Brother Naija star gave her his contact which she found to be not correct when she tried to reach out to him.

The lady said later on, she started throwing up and noticing other symptoms of pregnancy a few months after the sexual intercourse occurred between them.

She claimed that she decided to voice out when she saw Laycon on the popular BBnaija show.

Laycon has, however, reacted to the claim through his handlers, led by Nollywood actress Scarlet Gomez.

Gomez described the video as false, saying the BBN Lockdown winner doesn’t know the lady and has never met her.

In her words:

“We don’t know her and Laycon has never seen her.”

“My Legacy Won’t Be Forgotten”- Fireboy DML Speaks On FIFA 21 Soundtrack Feature

Nigerian singer, Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML, has spoken about becoming the first Nigerian artist to feature on football simulation game FIFA 21.

With fans able to play FIFA 21 in just a few days time, EA have today confirmed the full soundtrack for the game.

The FIFA 21 and Volta Football soundtracks will feature over 100 artists from 23 different countries including the top Nigerian acts.

The deal negotiated by EMPIRE Publishing & YBNL makes Fireboy the first Nigeria-based artist featured in the official FIFA 21 game soundtrack which is set for launch worldwide on the 9th of October 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. His song, Scatter is set to feature on the main game, which is a huge one for the singer.

While Fireboy DML is on the main Fifa 2021 soundtrack and playlist, his compatriots Kah-Lo (Exit Sign), Nnena (Work it Out) and Rema and Rvssian (Beamer) settle for a place on Fifa Volta (Ultimate) soundtrack.

In a chat with Goal, Fireboy DML revealed that he is delighted with this feat, as it feel it would help keep in legacy forever.

He said;

“My second studio album, ‘Apollo’ is about evolution, growth, love and the pain that comes with it. My legacy will not be forgotten.”

Don Jazzy Reacts To Rema’s Twitter Outburst

Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has reacted to the recent outburst of one of his artists, Rema on social media.

Rema on Monday went wild with series of tweets via his Twitter account where he made a lot of revelations.

The Popular Nigerian artiste, also called out the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the death of his father, Justice Ikubor.

He accused PDP of having a hand in death of his father who was was a high ranking member of the PDP in Edo State and former General Manager of the state-owned Ethiope Publishing Company before his death.

Following the development, twitter users who were concerned about Rema’s tweets reached out to Don Jazzy and asked him to do something about the revelations Rema was making on Twitter.

One Twitter user also asked that his password should be changed to stop him from tweeting.

Reacting, Don Jazzy in a tweet via his Twitter account on Tuesday, said he didn’t think it’s wise to shut Rema down.

According to him, the singer is only passing a message.

“Why should I stop him from tweeting?

“He is passing a message. Read on,” he said.

Former Presidential Candiate and Activist, Omoyele Sowore invited Burna Boy to join his Revolution Protest which will be taking place on Independence day.

Omoyele Sowore is known for organizing the ‘Revolution Now’ Protests and has been in a constant back and forth battle with the Nigerian Government.

Sowere via his Twitter page called on Burna Boy to join them for a protest as people have always compared him to Fela. Read Here

“Hello @burnaboy, everywhere I turn people describe you as a revolutionary musician, the foreign media even celebrate you compare you to Fela Kuti, but I am yet to see you lead anyone to a police station carrying a coffin for head of state! Join”

Burna Boy in reply said that when Fela was alive, the same people he was fighting for was the same people who put him through hell.

He also said that his mother’s family was also ostracized because of their connection to Fela.

BBNaija 2020: “I Never Liked Kiddwaya” – Nengi

Big Brother Naija housemate, Nengi has revealed that she never liked Kiddwaya.

The housemates said this after their Saturday night party while having a conversation about housemates.

They also revealed that some of the ex-housemates ignored them, adding that they were disappointed with the way some of them acted towards them.

However, Vee mentioned that she noticed that Nengi was ignored by all the guys she liked and had feelings for.

She also said she knows that Nengi had feelings for Kiddwaya but didn’t understand why they didn’t talk to each other.

Nengi in her response said she never liked Kiddwaya, stating that if she did, she would have made advances at him.

“I never liked Kiddwaya and you all know me.

“ I’m not that type of girl. I don’t like or fall in love with people easily.

“The only guy I ever liked in this house was Ozo, but unfortunately, he totally ignored me at the party,” she said.
